81st Annual Christmas Party and 7th Annual Teen Party
This year the BGCWF marks our 81st Christmas Party and the 7th year
we have hosted a separate Christmas Party dedicated to our teen

Support the Club and Have Fun!
Come join us for some good old fashion Halloween fun at the 31st
Annual Chamber of Horrors. Proceeds are used to fund programs
in the Club.

Join Us for Day for Kids
This Saturday September 12th the BGCWF will be hosting the Boys
& Girls Club Day for Kids event. It's a great time to spend
time with your kids and have fun yourself. The event free
and is open to the general public, not just members, and will be
at our facilities at Lake Wichita Park. For more details check

Help the BGCWF While You Shop!
From August 5th thru August 16th JCPenney
in Sikes Senter will be hosting the
Afterschool
Round-up. To participate just round your purchase up to the
next whole dollar and the JCPenney Afterschool Fund will donate
the difference to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls.

Summer 2009 Program Schedules Now Available!
For those parents who like to know what activities are available
at the club your child attends we have something just for you. Our
Summer 2009 Program Schedules
are now available for download. The program schedules are provided
by the clubs that host these events and show daily activities as
well as any special events scheduled for this summer. Please note
that these schedules are specific to the club. If you have any question
about your club's schedule please feel free to contact the staff
at your club. Don't forget that our BGCWF wide events are still
listed on the main Club Events Calendar.

Mill Street Club Closed
Due to economic factors, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls
has closed our Mill Street Branch. Rest assured this decision was
made with the utmost care in order to weather the current economic
conditions while still providing a great service to the underserved
in our community. Members of the Mill Street Club will still have
the Northeast Club available only a few blocks away within walking
distance. Parents may also take their children to any one
of our 6 other locations. For location information please visit

determined to keep all of its quality staff during these times and
we are proud to say that all of our staff at the Mill Street Club
are still employed with us at our other locations.

"Friends of Youth" Golf Tournament 2009
"The Friends of Youth" Golf Tournament is fast approaching. The
tournament will be limited to 28 teams so now is the time to
register!

Game Cancellations
Due to concerns over the Swine Flue and local school closings
all games for Thursday, April 30th and
Friday, May 1st have been cancelled. An announcement will
be made regarding next week's games on Monday, May 4th. For more

Change in Hours Due to Weather
Due to the weather all Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls locations
will be open 1-6pm. Indoor soccer games for tonight have been cancelled
and will be rescheduled for later in the season. All practices have
