Club History

Our History

In 1921, Mr. Horace Robbins, a Rotarian, recognized a need for recreation and guidance among the youth of Wichita Falls.  Mr. Robbins formed the Knot Hole Gang and began the movement that next became the Boys Club and eventually formed the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls.

Another Rotarian, Dr. Josh Kimbrough, helped found the Boys Club and was the board president for several years.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls now serves over 6,500 members each year with programs in character and leadership development, education, and career development, health and life skills, the arts, and sports, fitness, and recreation.
