1920 - 1959

1921
Horace Robbins, a Rotarian, founded the Knot Hole Gang. This formed the nucleus of the local Boys Club movement and membership.
1929
The Rotary Club, sponsored the first Boys Club and obtained rooms in the old city hall annex on Indiana Street.
1930
The Boys Clubs of Wichita Falls was chartered as a member of the Boys Club Federation of America, the forerunner of the Boys Clubs of America.
1930
When the national organization changed its name to the Boys Clubs of America, the local membership was re-chartered.
1939
Mr. & Mrs. J.J. Perkins made a substantial donation to make possible the Central Boys Club. It contained a gym, showers, library, shop, kitchen, two game rooms, and offices.
1951
A swimming pool and locker rooms were added to the Central Boys Club.  Mostly volunteer work made this addition possible.
1953
An auxiliary gym, garage, and conference room were added to the Central Club.
1955 (November 1st)
The Northeast Boys Club was opened, sponsored by the Optimist Club of Wichita Falls.
